How can I create a Canon ID account?

You can create your Canon ID account by providing a username and password or a social network account like Google or Facebook.

I have accessed Canon websites, services or apps with an account in the past, what should I do?

Please sign in with your previous username and password and we will help you to create a Canon ID account.

I do not remember my Canon ID password, what should I do?

You can reset your password by using the password reset form.

What information do I give to Canon when I create my Canon ID account using a social network service like Google or Facebook?

Canon will receive your email address and the public profile of the social network you selected. We will then use this information to fill out your Canon ID registration form, to speed up the creation of your account.

I registered my Canon ID with a social network service I no longer have access to, what should I do?

You can create a Canon ID password by using the password reset form.

I do not feel comfortable to share my mobile phone number and/or date of birth with Canon, what should I do?

This information is optional, so if you'd rather not share this information, that's perfectly fine. However, if you provide these details we can help you to regain access to your account in case you cannot reset your password on your own.
